Acceleration and focusing of positron bunch in a dielectric wakefield accelerator with plasma in transport channel

Abstract The paper presents the results of numerical particle-in-cell simulation positron bunch focusing during acceleration in a plasma dielectric wakefield accelerator. is excited by drive electron quartz tube, embedded cylindrical metal waveguide. internal area tube filled with having general case paraxial vacuum channel. Two different models density radius-relationship are investigated: homogeneous model and inhomogeneous dependence characterized capillary discharge. Results show that simultaneous test possible. transport change size channel, waveguide length density-radius studied.
